Thrust Ball BearingsĀ

Ball-bearing is a bearing composed of rolling bearings, which can maintain the distance between the inner and outer rings of the bearing, thereby achieving smooth, high-speed movement and reducing friction. They can bear both radial and axial loads so that they can be developed for various applications, load types, and speeds.

Ball bearings are usually made of stainless steel, ceramic, or chrome steel, but the materials and overall design vary greatly depending on the specific job. It can also include flanges, cages, and multi-row bearings to achieve higher performance to meet specific application requirements.

Different ball bearings offer other properties like performance, speed, reliability, load capacity, durability, and precision. They are used in a wide range of devices and several various industries. Some of the widely used applications of ball bearings are aviation cargo systems, engines, agriculture industry, heavy equipment and machinery, solar panels, medical equipment, automobile industry, powerhouses, and many others.

As one of the leading ball-bearing manufacturers, suppliers, and exporters of mechanical products, We offer ball-bearing and many other products. Please get in touch with us for details.

Thrust Ball Bearings have balls enclosed in a cage between the shaft raceway washer corresponding to the inner ring and the housing raceway washer that fits the outer ring. Thrust Ball Bearings are designed to handle thrust loads while operating at high speeds; these bearings can sustain axial loads but no radial loads.

Thrust Ball Bearing Types:

Spark Thrust Ball Bearings are divided into the following categories. Available in two designs:Ā Ā single direction and double direction. Single direction design includes two rings, shaft and housing washers, and a single ball and cage assembly. On the other hand, double direction design consists of three washers and two ball and cage assemblies. The shaft washer separates the ball and cage groups of the double direction type. Spark Bearings is your preferred ball-bearing supplier.

(1) Single direction thrust ball bearings

Single direction thrust ball bearingsĀ are a common type ofĀ thrust ball bearings. As their name implies, single-direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads and locate a shaft axially, in one direction only. Single direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer, and a ball and cage assembly. Depending on their series and size, thrust ball bearings are equipped with one of the cages, like sheet steel or Solid brass window cages. The bearings are not self-retaining; the ball and cage assembly and bearing washers can be fitted separately.

Single direction thrust ball bearings application

Single direction thrust ball bearings are mainly used to bear a part of the axial load and low speed, such as crane hooks, vertical pumps, vertical centrifuges, jack, low-speed reducers, etc.

(2) Double direction thrust ball bearings

Double direction thrust ball bearingsĀ are a common type ofĀ thrust ball bearings. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads and locate a shaft axially in both directions. Double direction thrust ball bearings consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers, and two ball and cage assemblies. The housing washers and ball and cage assemblies of double direction bearings are identical to those used in single direction bearings. Depending on their series and size, thrust ball bearings are fitted with one of the cages, like sheet steel or Solid brass window cages.

Double direction thrust ball bearings application

Double direction thrust ball bearings are mainly used to bear a part of the axial load and low speed, such as crane hooks, vertical pumps, vertical centrifuges, jacks, low-speed reducers, etc.

Product Features and Benefits:

Two designs are available:Ā  single direction and double direction.

To accommodate initial misalignments in an assembly, both designs are available with spherical aligning seats or aligning seat washers.

High-quality steel – Ultra clean steel extends bearing life by up to 80%.

Advanced grease technology – Special lubricants that can extend grease life and performance.

High-grade balls – Smooth and quiet operation even at high speeds

Optional seating rings take initial misalignment.

Applications of Thrust Ball Bearings:

There are various designs and applications for Thrust Ball Bearings, and their design is specific to their industrial application and load type. Thrust Ball Bearings with high load capacities are suitable for many applications where heavy thrust loads are encountered. These are widely used in rich applications such as coal pulverizing, rock crushing, plastic extrusion, and rolling mill stands. Because of the heavy loads and severe duty, many of our thrust bearings are produced with case hardened components for more durability.
