Angular Contact Ball Bearings

Ball-bearing is a bearing composed of rolling bearings, which can maintain the distance between the inner and outer rings of the bearing, thereby achieving smooth, high-speed movement and reducing friction. They can bear both radial and axial loads so that they can be developed for various applications, load types, and speeds.

Ball bearings are usually made of stainless steel, ceramic, or chrome steel, but the materials and overall design vary greatly depending on the specific job. It can also include flanges, cages, and multi-row bearings to achieve higher performance to meet specific application requirements.

Different ball bearings offer other properties like performance, speed, reliability, load capacity, durability, and precision. They are used in a wide range of devices and several various industries. Some of the widely used applications of ball bearings are aviation cargo systems, engines, agriculture industry, heavy equipment and machinery, solar panels, medical equipment, automobile industry, powerhouses, and many others.

As one of the leading ball-bearing manufacturers, suppliers, and exporters of mechanical products, We offer ball-bearing and many other products. Please get in touch with us for details.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings is a kind of ball bearing with raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. These bearings are designed to withstand combined loads, radial and axial loads acting simultaneously.

The axial load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings increases with increasing contact angle. The contact angle is the angle between the line connecting the ball’s point of contact and the raceway in the radial plane angle.

Angular contact ball bearings have an inner ring and outer ring raceways, which move relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these bearings are designed to withstand combined loads, radial and axial loads acting simultaneously.

The axial load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings increases as the contact angle increases. The contact angle is defined as the angle between the line connecting the ball’s contact point and the raceway in the radial plane (the line perpendicular to the bearing shaft). The combined load is transmitted from one raceway to the other along the radial line.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings Types:

Angular Contact Ball Bearings can provide a variety of sizes, materials, and types according to consumer needs, including particular industrial uses, such as high-temperature applications.

They have mainly three Angular Contact Ball Bearings designs: Single-row Angular Contact Ball Bearings, Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings, and Four Point Angular Contact Ball Bearings. Depending on the application, they can also be made into different sizes and loads, from miniature ball bearings for light loads and trim components to large Angular Contact Ball Bearings.

(1) Single row angular contact ball bearings

Single row angular contact ball bearings are a common type of angular contact ball bearings. Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. Single row angular contact ball bearings can only accommodate axial loads in one order. This type of bearing is particularly suitable for carrying combined loads (radial and axial load) and pure axial loads and can be operated at relatively high speeds.

Single row angular contact ball bearings application

Single row angular contact ball bearings are mainly used in machine spindles, gearboxes, reducers, superchargers, etc.

(2) Double row angular contact ball bearings

Double row angular contact ball bearings are a common type of angular contact bearings. Double row angular contact ball bearings correspond in design to two single row angular contact ball bearings arranged back-to-back but take up less axial space. They can accommodate radial loads as well as axial loads in both directions. They provide stiff bearing arrangements and can accommodate tilting moments.

Double row angular contact ball bearings application

Double row angular contact ball bearings are mainly used in oil pumps, roots blowers, air compressors, transmission, fuel injection pumps, printing machinery, planetary reducer, extraction equipment, cycloid reducer, and food packaging machinery.

The use of Angular Contact Ball Bearings has benefited many industries:
